India’s journey to becoming a global electronics manufacturing hub is no longer just an aspiration, it’s taking shape on factory floors, in policy corridors, and at industry platforms where supply chains are actively being rebuilt.

The Greater Noida edition of electronica India 2026 and productronica India captured this transformation vividly. The event drew 20,922 participants, including key buyers, sourcing leaders, and manufacturing decision-makers, creating a dynamic marketplace for collaboration and business exchange.

With over 1,500 structured buyer-seller meetings, the show focused on localisation, supplier discovery, and resilient supply chain partnerships, reflecting the evolving priorities of the electronics industry amid global realignments.

Strong international presence and state partnership

The event saw robust participation from Germany, China, Japan, Taiwan, and the United States, underlining India’s increasing integration into global value chains.

The Government of Uttar Pradesh, as the Host State, played a pivotal role in supporting the event. This collaboration aligns with the state’s continued emphasis on building a strong electronics manufacturing ecosystem through policy initiatives, infrastructure development, and investment facilitation.

The inauguration featured a distinguished lineup of government and industry representatives, including Shri Suresh Kumar Khanna, Minister for Finance and Parliamentary Affairs, Shri Jitin Prasada, Union Minister of State for Electronics & IT and for Commerce & Industry, and Shri Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’, Minister for Industrial Development, among others. Their presence reflected Uttar Pradesh’s intent to emerge as a preferred location for high-value electronics manufacturing.

Across its dual venues in Greater Noida and Bengaluru, electronica India and productronica India now attract over 60,000 participants annually, marking a 50% expansion in scale and reinforcing the platform’s role as a central meeting point for the electronics and semiconductor community.

Business-driven engagement and capability building

The Greater Noida electronica India 2026 edition went beyond displays and demos it became a working marketplace for supplier diversification and localisation strategies.

Exhibitors highlighted growing interest in component manufacturing, automation, and supply chain resilience, while buyers from sectors such as automotive and consumer electronics focused on long-term partnerships over short-term sourcing.

Alongside the exhibition, conferences offered deep dives into the sector’s top priorities, covering policy, supply chain resilience, automotive electronics, PCB manufacturing, and advanced production technologies.

These sessions included the UP Electronics Leadership Summit, ELCINA Supply Chain Summit, Automotive Display Conference by ICEA, Bharat PCB Tech Conference, and the SMT Thought Leadership Summit.

Fostering innovation and industry collaboration

Innovation was also a strong theme. A Startup Pavilion, supported by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, showcased emerging companies and new ideas, while the introduction of BPCA – Bharat’s dedicated platform for printed circuits and assemblies, launched in collaboration with ELCINA and Messe Muenchen India, added a new dimension to India’s PCB manufacturing ambitions.

Industry bodies like ELCINA and ICEA were active participants, shaping discussions and driving forward initiatives that support domestic capability building.

Rajoo Goel, Secretary General of ELCINA, noted, “Localisation has moved beyond policy intent—it’s now a business imperative. This platform brought the entire value chain together for practical conversations around strengthening component manufacturing and reducing external dependencies.”

Pankaj Mohindroo, Chairman of ICEA, added, “India’s electronics ecosystem is maturing rapidly. We’re seeing stronger alignment between policy direction, industry investments, and supply chain strategies. electronica and productronica India 2026 helped advance this momentum through direct, meaningful engagement between technology suppliers and Indian manufacturers.”

Participants underscored that the quality of engagement outshone the event’s impressive scale.

Tsuyuki Junichi, Division Head – Robotics Support Business Division, Yamaha Motor India Sales (P) Ltd., said, “The event helped open meaningful conversations with manufacturers actively planning their next phase of growth.”

Narendra Savant, VP Operations, Kyoritsu Electric India, added, “Buyers came well-prepared, with clear sourcing requirements and timelines. We saw keen interest in our India-made robotic and automation solutions. This platform enables long-term business discussions with the right decision-makers.”

Raj Kumar Saini, Managing Director, Saini Communications, shared, “Conversations have evolved beyond basic automation manufacturers are now focused on integration, efficiency, and scalability. That’s a positive sign for India’s manufacturing maturity.”

Robins N.T., Head of Strategic Sourcing & NPD, Simple Energy, remarked, “We’re focused on diversifying supply chains and localising production. The exhibitors here were well-prepared, making it easier to move from discussion to decisions quickly.”

Srinivasan Sampath, Head of NPD Materials, Pricol Limited, highlighted, “The ability to compare multiple suppliers side by side is invaluable. It shortens the evaluation cycle from months to days.”

Anuj Kumar Srivastava, Global Head – Facilities, Secure Meters, said, “We wanted to see how prepared Indian suppliers are to meet new quality and turnaround standards-it was encouraging to see strong momentum under ‘Make in India.’”

Global insights and forward momentum

Strategic partnerships and MoUs announced during the show focused on strengthening cross-border collaboration in PCB and component manufacturing, emphasizing technology exchange and supply chain development.

Dr. Reinhard Pfeiffer, CEO of Messe München, observed, “What’s striking is how India is transitioning from being part of the global supply chain conversation to actively influencing it. The focus is shifting from cost and scale to long-term alignment and strategic value.”

Bhupinder Singh, President – IMEA, Messe München & CEO, Messe Muenchen India, added, “These events reflect what the industry is dealing with in real time-localisation, supply chain adjustments, and the search for reliable partners. The conversations are more structured, practical, and business-driven than ever before.”

Bengaluru edition up next

The next edition of electronica India and productronica India 2026 is scheduled for September 16-18, 2026, in Bengaluru, extending the momentum into another key manufacturing hub.

As the global electronics landscape continues to shift, platforms like these will play an increasingly critical role not in asking whether India will be a part of the world’s electronics supply chain, but in defining how big a role it’s ready to play.
