DB HiTek to Showcase BCD, SiC and GaN Processes at electronica India 2026

THE VOLT VOTES

DB HiTek is heading to electronica India 2026 in Bengaluru, set for September 16-18, as it looks to deepen ties with local customers and grow its footprint in India’s fast-expanding semiconductor market.

The Korea-based 8-inch pure-play foundry will use the event to put its process technologies front and centre, led by its flagship BCD (Bipolar-CMOS-DMOS) platform and next-generation SiC (silicon carbide) and GaN (gallium nitride) power semiconductor processes.

A key goal is to spark new business with Indian fabless companies that are moving from chip design services into developing their own semiconductor products.

India’s semiconductor ecosystem is gaining momentum under strong policy support and rising investment. As local design houses broaden into product development, demand for foundry capacity is expected to climb.

DB HiTek has been ramping up collaboration with Indian fabless firms and sees the Bengaluru show as a chance to widen that engagement.

Power semiconductors will be the main draw at the booth. DB HiTek’s BCD process has already shipped a cumulative 9 million wafers, and the company is leveraging that volume-production experience to push into higher-value automotive and industrial applications.

On the next-generation power side, DB HiTek will outline its SiC and GaN roadmaps and progress toward volume production. It recently completed process qualification for a 1,200V SiC MOSFET and is targeting qualification of its 650V GaN process by December this year, with product performance evaluations now underway alongside strategic customers.

Beyond power, the foundry will display a range of specialty processes, including X-ray, global shutter, SPAD (single photon avalanche diode) and other CIS technologies, as well as mixed-signal and RF processes, as it looks to broaden its customer base in the region.
