VIAVI Pushes the Boundaries of AI Fabric Testing at OFC 2026

VIAVI Solutions is set to showcase its latest innovations for validating next-generation AI fabrics at scale during the Optical Fiber Communication (OFC) Conference 2026, taking place March 17–19 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

VIAVI Showcases AI Fabric Validation at OFC 2026 The Volt Post

As AI, security, and high-speed photonics continue to evolve, they’re reshaping how networks are validated and optimized.

To meet these new demands, the industry now needs a comprehensive, AI fabric-aware approach to ensure high-performance systems maintain peak throughput, reliability, and scalability. At booth 1239, VIAVI will demonstrate its newest solutions built to tackle these challenges head-on.

Attendees can expect live demonstrations across a range of cutting-edge technologies, including 1.6T Ethernet, transceiver and silicon photonics manufacturing tests, PCIe over optics, automated network testing, and fiber sensing.

VIAVI’s ONE LabPro and TestCenter platforms will highlight capabilities across OSI Layers 0–3 for traffic generation and analysis. The company will also feature its latest hollow-core fiber testing solution and the new DCX-700 optical loss test set, capable of testing up to 24 fibers simultaneously.

Collaboration is a key theme at this year’s event. Many of VIAVI’s demos will be conducted in partnership with the Ethernet Alliance and the Fiber Optic Center, as well as interoperability demonstrations with partners such as Amphenol, Celestica, and others, showcasing the strength of the ecosystem driving next-generation Ethernet advancements.

VIAVI will also unveil three new technologies at OFC 2026:

  • INX 700 probe microscopes, now featuring an enhanced battery system for uninterrupted, automated inspection of single- and multi-fiber connectors—an essential upgrade for hyperscale data centers.

  • The first high-density OSFP test platform, purpose-built to validate interoperability, latency, and power efficiency for upcoming 1.6T Ethernet infrastructure across AI, cloud, and hyperscale environments.

  • A new distributed acoustic sensing solution that leverages edge-based AI and machine learning for real-time analysis.

Beyond the exhibit floor, VIAVI will host a workshop on distributed fiber optic sensing for communications and infrastructure applications on Monday, March 16, from 1:30–5:30 PM PT.

Additionally, on Wednesday, March 18, from 2:30–3:30 PM PT, the company will participate in a Lightwave panel in Expo Theatre II to discuss how innovations like hollow-core fiber are redefining data center interconnect (DCI) technologies.

VIAVI Showcases AI Fabric Validation at OFC 2026 The Volt PostThis year’s OFC follows close on the heels of the Lightwave Innovation Awards, where VIAVI marked its tenth consecutive year of recognition.

Six VIAVI solutions were honored, including the ONE LabPro ONE-1600ER, TestCenter 1.6T Platform, A3 400G Appliance, mFVU-3000, DCX 700, and OneExpert Fiber, underscoring the company’s ongoing leadership in optical and network testing innovation.
