To keep pace with the massive bandwidth demands of AI and cloud computing, CtrlS Datacenters with Ciena to build five high-capacity metro networks across India capable of delivering up to 100 Tb/s.

The project connects nine data centers spread across Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, New Delhi, and Noida. It serves as a critical piece of a larger Managed Optical Fiber Network (MOFN) deployment designed specifically for a major hyperscaler, reinforcing CtrlS’ push to provide top-tier connectivity for India’s rapidly expanding cloud infrastructure.
To hit these massive data speeds, CtrlS is rolling out Ciena’s WaveLogic 5 Extreme (WL5e)-powered Waveserver platform alongside its 6500 Reconfigurable Line System (RLS). Ciena’s own services team is stepping in to handle end-to-end project management and keep the rollout on track.
Once the infrastructure is live, the network’s day-to-day operations and service delivery will be heavily automated using Ciena’s Navigator Network Control Suite.
