Axiro Semiconductor Taps Industry Veteran Venkata Vanukuru to Spearhead New Power Division.
Bengaluru-based Axiro Semiconductor is making a decisive push beyond its traditional RF roots, bringing on industry veteran Venkata Vanukuru as Vice President and General Manager of its newly established Power Business Unit.
The leadership appointment signals a major strategic expansion for the company. By consolidating technology development, engineering, and commercial strategy under a single umbrella, Axiro is actively widening its footprint into the broader power, analog, and mixed-signal semiconductor markets.
In his new capacity, Vanukuru will take full ownership of the unit, driving everything from the technology roadmap and product portfolio to P&L, global sales, and strategic partnerships.
He brings a heavy-hitting technical pedigree to the role. With over two decades of experience spanning Analog, Power, and RF VLSI design, Vanukuru holds more than 50 US patents and has authored roughly 60 IEEE publications.
Most recently, he served as Vice President of Engineering at Bharat Semi, where he led teams working on mission-critical CMOS imaging products and core analog/power-management IP, including ADCs, LDOs, and power sequencers.
Prior to that, Vanukuru spent nearly a decade at GlobalFoundries as a Technical Director. 
During his tenure, he drove technology development and mixed-signal design across a highly complex array of nodes including RF-SOI, SiGe, GaN, and FinFET—focusing on essential components like integrated DC-DC converters, RF switches, and LNAs.
Beyond his corporate track record, Vanukuru remains deeply embedded in India’s academic semiconductor ecosystem. A two-time IIT Madras alumnus with a Ph.D. in RF VLSI Design, he has also helped shape the next generation of engineering talent as a visiting faculty member at IISc Bengaluru and an adjunct professor at IIT Palakkad.
