Pulsiv has struck an exclusive manufacturing deal with Delta-Matrix to mass-produce its next-generation USB-C power modules. The partnership takes aim at a rapidly growing, yet technically frustrating market like delivering safe, high-power USB-C charging directly into walls, furniture, and public spaces.
Thanks to the EU’s Common Charger Directive and shifting consumer habits, USB-C ports are popping up everywhere from airport lounges to residential bedframes. But consumers don’t just want the ports; they want laptop-grade fast charging.
The problem is that cramming a 65W or 240W power supply into a confined wall cavity creates a serious thermal nightmare. Regulators have taken notice, drafting the stringent new EN IEC 63418 standard for fixed household accessories.
Under the new rules, manufacturers will face standardized testing that requires in-wall chargers to operate at their advertised output for a minimum of four hours, without triggering any over-temperature protections.
To meet these looming regulations head-on, Pulsiv has developed an unpotted, fully assembled module powered by its patented OSMIUM AC-DC conversion technology. Designed specifically to eliminate the heating issues that plague fast chargers, the initial rollout features a 65W nominal output (capable of a 73W dynamic boost). Crucially, it can run continuously at full power for over four hours with zero inrush current and no thermal derating or cut-offs.
To bring the technology to market at scale, Pulsiv spent months fine-tuning its component supply chain, assembly, and testing processes alongside Delta-Matrix.
Under the finalized agreement, Delta-Matrix’s parent company, the Easby Group, is also stepping in as an official distribution partner. Easby’s sales teams will handle the rollout of the new USB-C modules across the UK, Ireland, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, India, Hong Kong, and Vietnam.
Pulsiv says this is just the beginning of its fixed-installation roadmap, with plans to expand the fully assembled module lineup to cover power levels ranging from 45W all the way up to a massive 240W, alongside extended reliability versions for highly demanding commercial applications.
