Toshiba Launches Dual-Channel Standard Digital Isolators

Four dual-channel, high-speed standard digital isolators for industrial equipment have been introduced by Toshiba Electronic Devices & Storage Corporation. With a high common mode transient immunity (CMTI) of 100kV/?s (typ.) and a high-speed data rate of 150Mbps (max), the new “DCL52xx00 Series” products enable reliable operation. Shipments are on.

DCL521C00” and “DCL521D00” have one forward channel and one reverse channel, whereas DCL520C00” and “DCL520D00” have two forward channels.

The “DCL54xx01 Series” of digital isolators for industrial equipment now includes these additional dual-channel models in addition to the previously introduced quad-channel models. With the addition of these new items, Toshiba now has 14 products in its inventory, providing a variety of channel configurations and enhancing design freedom.

Similar to DCL54xx01 Series products, the new DCL52xx00 Series digital isolators achieve a high CMTI of 100kV/?s (typ.) using Toshiba’s patented magnetic coupling type isolated transmission technology. This enables stable control signal transmission, provides high level resistance to electrical noise between input and output in isolated signal transmission, and supports stable equipment functioning.

Additionally, a high-speed data rate of 150 Mbps (max) and a low pulse width distortion of 0.8 ns (typ.) are attained. The new products can be used for I/O interfaces with UART and I2C communication, among other multi-channel high-speed communication applications.

Standard digital isolators for automotive and industrial equipment are already being produced in large quantities by Toshiba. In the future, the corporation will expand both the number of channels and the range of bundles.

It will keep offering top-notch photocouplers and isolation devices that enable the reliability and real-time data transmission needed by automotive and industrial equipment.
