MediaTek T930 chipset for 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) and mobile Wi-Fi (Mi-Fi) devices. This third-generation platform demonstrates the company’s market leadership by enabling the most modern wireless communication technologies and solutions available.
The MediaTek T930, a highly integrated and incredibly power-efficient 4nm chipset solution, supports sub-6GHz frequency bands and can achieve 5G connection rates of up to 10Gbps.
The MediaTek T930 includes various world-first technical innovations such as:
- 6CC-CA downlink and 5-layer 3Tx,
- Enable uplink performance of up to 2.8Gbps.
- First to enable 8Rx with a total DL bandwidth of 200MHz,
- Boost spectrum efficiency by 40% at the cell edge, resulting in up to 40% more signal coverage.
- The T930 supports the 3GPP Release-18 standard as well as more advanced modem capabilities such as MediaTek’s 3Tx and L4S innovations.
The MediaTek T930, which combines MediaTek’s new M90 5G modem with a quad-core Arm Cortex-A55 CPU and a dedicated network processor, can manage maximum 5G to Wi-Fi/Ethernet throughput. The T930 platform also features an RF transceiver, GNSS receiver, and power management.
The T930 platform can be paired with a dedicated NPU chip to create a Generative AI gateway device that does advanced Edge AI processing and interacts with network devices. MediaTek’s award-winning Edge AI idea was shown at recent tradeshows, and the company has worked with key partners to speed up product development.
MediaTek has already established itself as the preferred partner of leading international customers, and it is working closely with various ecosystem partners to incorporate the T930 into next-generation FWA and Mi-Fi products for worldwide markets.
