Agile Analog, Xiphera Combine Anti-Tamper, PQC for Chip Security

THE VOLT VOTES

Agile Analog has teamed up with Xiphera, the expert in hardware-based cryptographic solutions, to build a stronger security shield for the next generation of semiconductors.

Agile Analog, Xiphera PQC Semiconductor Security The Volt Post

By combining Agile Analog’s agileSecure anti-tamper sensor IP with Xiphera’s digital cryptographic IP cores, the two companies are creating a unified defense system that works at both the digital and physical levels. This is especially critical as the industry shifts toward Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC).

Xiphera’s PQC algorithms provide mathematically strong protection against future quantum threats, keeping data and communications safe. But protecting the data isn’t enough as semiconductor devices themselves need protection from physical attacks and tampering.

When you put Xiphera’s quantum-resistant cryptographic IP together with Agile Analog’s anti-tamper sensor IP, you get a complete security approach for modern chip designs.

Xiphera’s quantum-resistant digital logic handles the digital side, while Agile Analog’s real-time analog glitch and tamper detection monitors the physical layer. Together, they strengthen protection across the entire device.

Leadership Comments

According to Chris Morrison, VP Product Marketing at Agile Analog: “As the industry prepares for the post-quantum era, we can no longer afford to view digital cryptography and physical security as separate silos. SoC designers face an increasingly complex threat landscape, demanding security solutions that are both secure and easy to integrate. Our collaboration with Xiphera addresses this challenge. By pairing their cryptographic modules with our configurable process-portable analog security IP, we are giving customers a comprehensive defense solution, and meeting the growing security and system-level protection requirements in modern semiconductor designs.”

“Customers look for trusted technology partners that can provide solutions for multiple Agile Analog, Xiphera PQC Semiconductor Security The Volt Postlayers of security architecture,” says Tommi Lampila, CRO at Xiphera. He continues, “By combining our expertise, we are able to help our customers build comprehensive cryptographic and fault protection solutions for their semiconductor designs.”

Chris Morrison from Agile Analog concludes: “A truly secure semiconductor design requires safeguarding both the digital and physical domains. Robust digital cryptography is the foundation of data protection, but further protections are needed against physical manipulation of the underlying silicon. By combining Xiphera’s world-class cryptographic IP with our advanced analog glitch and tamper detectors, we eliminate these vulnerabilities. Together, we provide designers with a complete, multi-layered security subsystem that protects chips from both remote cyber threats and direct physical attacks.”
