The move is aimed at addressing a common challenge in electronics design. Engineers evaluating components often have to work through fragmented datasheets, static product pages, application notes, performance curves and manual cross-references before deciding whether a part is suitable for a design.

For component manufacturers, that process can also mean missed opportunities. FAE teams cannot engage with every engineer researching a component, and an unanswered technical question could ultimately result in a competitor’s part being designed in.

From technical questions to faster design wins

FAE and sales engineering teams regularly deal with questions that require more than a simple product lookup. Engineers may need to know whether a component can operate under specific voltage, temperature or load conditions, identify the closest alternative to a competing device, or determine whether a replacement is genuinely pin-compatible.

Answering these questions typically requires engineers to work across multiple sources, including datasheets, electrical characteristics, pinouts, operating conditions, application notes and related product families.

Cross-referencing can be particularly challenging. While manufacturers have detailed knowledge of their own products, understanding how those products compare with competing components requires a much broader view.

Wizerr says its ELX engine is designed to provide that broader engineering context. Rather than functioning as a conventional lookup table, the platform can reason across a manufacturer’s portfolio as well as competing components.

The same technology is already being used by OEM and ODM engineering and supply-chain teams to evaluate component performance, compatibility, lifecycle, availability and cost.

With the expansion to manufacturers, Wizerr is making two capabilities available:

Engineering AI for FAE and sales engineering teams: The system can analyze datasheets, electrical specifications, pinouts, operating conditions, packages and component families to answer technical questions and evaluate alternatives. This can help FAE teams reduce time spent on routine technical queries and focus on more complex design engagements.

Decision API for manufacturer websites: Manufacturers can integrate Wizerr’s reasoning into their existing digital platforms. Instead of relying solely on parametric search tools or downloadable PDFs, engineers visiting a manufacturer’s website can explore cross-references, assess compatibility and receive technical answers while evaluating a component.

One intelligence engine for both sides of the market

Wizerr’s expansion brings the same component intelligence technology used by buyers to the supplier side of the electronics market.

The company says this creates a common intelligence layer around one of the most important decisions in hardware development: selecting the component that ultimately goes into the design.

For manufacturers, the objective is not simply to make product information easier to find. It is to help engineers reach a confident technical decision faster, while giving suppliers a better opportunity to capture the design win.

Lumissil brings engineering-grade cross-reference to its website

Lumissil Microsystems, an analog and mixed-signal IC manufacturer, is already using Wizerr’s Decision API on its website.

The integration enables engineers to identify up-to-date component cross-references directly through the Lumissil website, bringing technical component intelligence closer to the point where engineers are researching and evaluating parts.

By putting engineering-focused answers and cross-reference capabilities directly into the component discovery process, Wizerr is positioning ELX as a tool not only for selecting components, but also for helping manufacturers compete more effectively for hardware design wins.
