Ten-Nine Technologies is bringing its proprietary battery additive, TENIX, to the South Korean market through a new strategic partnership with MIN N JUNE Chemical Co.

The agreement establishes MIN N JUNE as the commercial and technical lead for Ten-Nine in one of the most critical battery manufacturing hubs globally. The firm will drive customer engagement, pilot testing and regulatory pathways to get the technology into the hands of major South Korean battery and cathode producers.
TENIX functions as an anti-aging mechanism for batteries by halting the chemical decomposition that steadily degrades power over time. The nano-additive is blended directly into the cathode material during manufacturing, taking up just 0.5 to 2 percent of the overall weight. Crucially, battery makers can integrate it directly into their existing production lines without having to retool equipment or redesign their cells.
The performance metrics from third-party testing stand out. The additive unlocks over 75 percent more charge and discharge cycles, which pushes a standard EV battery lifespan from 150,000 miles to well over 265,000 miles. That extended longevity drives down the overall cost per kilowatt-hour by roughly 40 percent.
Furthermore, a 10 percent drop in electrical resistance enables faster charging speeds and significantly less wasted thermal energy. Overall, TENIX can reduce a battery’s heat output by 40 percent over its lifespan, a massive technical advantage for both next-generation electric vehicles and the dense battery backup systems powering modern AI data centers.
Leadership Comment
Paige Johnson, Chief Executive Officer of Ten-Nine Technologies, said:
“South Korea has long been a global leader in battery innovation. MIN N JUNE brings deep industry relationships and technical expertise that will help accelerate awareness and adoption of TENIX among some of the industry’s most important manufacturers.”
Jeong-Gil Suh, President at MIN N JUNE, said:
“MIN N JUNE is delighted to partner with Ten-Nine to develop market opportunities in Korea for TENIX. Ten-Nine has a promising technology which has a high potential of success amongst battery players. LG Energy Solution is a pioneer of LMR technology, co-developed with GM. POSCO, EcoPro BM, L&F, and Umicore are all developing LMR cathode active materials. Together with Ten-Nine, we look forward to the future commercialization of TENIX in Korea.”
