The India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA), the apex industry body representing India’s Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) sector, has announced its new Executive Council (EC) for FY2026–27. Mr. Navin Bishnoi has been appointed as the new Chairperson. The announcement was made at the IESA Annual Members Meet in Bengaluru, which drew more than 200 industry leaders and stakeholders from across the ecosystem.

Mr. Navin Bishnoi brings with him over 25 years of global leadership experience across semiconductor design, EDA, and infrastructure silicon. Currently serving as AVP and India Country Manager at Marvell Technology, he has previously held senior roles at IBM, Freescale, Cadence, and Texas Instruments, with deep expertise spanning AI/ML, cloud, networking, and automotive domains.
Commenting on his appointment, Mr. Navin Bishnoi said,
“It is a profound honor to assume the chairpersonship of IESA — one that brings both pride and purpose. India stands at an inflection point, moving decisively from semiconductor ambition to large-scale execution. As Chairperson of IESA, my goal is clear: enable time-bound outcomes across design, manufacturing, OSAT, and supply chain resilience. IESA will work closely with stakeholders to convert policy momentum into measurable results — building capacity, capability, and competitiveness.”

Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Chandak, President of IESA, said,
“India’s semiconductor and electronics journey has entered its most decisive phase. We’re now seeing real outcomes — OSAT/ATMP facilities moving into production, ISM 2.0 announced, ECMS-led projects gaining approvals, and electronics manufacturing scaling rapidly. IESA will continue to act as a catalyst in integrating the ecosystem, strengthening trusted supply chains, driving global partnerships, and promoting innovation-led growth. Under the leadership of Mr. Navin Bishnoi and the new EC, we are committed to delivering results in the form of investments, jobs, technology leadership, and global competitiveness.”
IESA also extended its gratitude to the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and the Government of India for their visionary policies that have accelerated India’s transformation in semiconductors, electronics manufacturing, and innovation.
India’s semiconductor market continues to expand rapidly and is projected to reach USD 103 billion by 2030, enabling USD 400 billion in electronics manufacturing — driven by strong domestic demand, global supply chain realignment, and robust policy support.

With the implementation of ISM 2.0, India is set to further strengthen its presence across the design, fabrication, ATMP/OSAT, and supply chain ecosystems.
