Anglia Brings 3PEAK Analog ICs to UK and EU Designers

THE VOLT VOTES

Anglia Components has signed a new distribution agreement with 3PEAK Incorporated, adding a broad range of high-performance analog and mixed-signal ICs to its linecard for customers in the UK and EU. The deal is aimed squarely at design teams looking for cost-effective, reliable alternatives to parts from the big US semiconductor brands.

3PEAK is a fabless semiconductor company with a strong focus on analog, signal chain, power management and mixed-signal front ends.

Its portfolio runs into the thousands of devices, including many drop-in replacements for established competitor parts, typically at very competitive 1,000-piece price points. That makes the range immediately attractive for engineers working on cost-sensitive designs who don’t want to re-spin boards just to qualify a new vendor.

The company isn’t positioning itself only as a second-source, though. 3PEAK invests more than half of its annual revenue back into R&D, which has led to a growing catalogue of devices that don’t just match, but in some cases outperform incumbent solutions on key specs. For design engineers, that opens up options to improve performance while keeping footprints and pinouts familiar.

On the supply side, 3PEAK works with independent top-tier foundries across major regions, giving it a diversified manufacturing base and a more resilient supply chain. Most of its devices are still shipping on lead times in the 8 to 12 week range, which is a meaningful advantage in a market where availability can make or break a project schedule.

Leadership Comments

“The market is fed up with being dictated to by a few major US names who have increased prices substantially over the past 18 months and want to tell you who to buy from”, says John Bowman, Anglia’s Marketing Director. “Anglia is building a strong analog IC portfolio of high quality products from manufacturers such as 3PEAK, which not only offer parts at substantially lower prices, but also with increased functionality.”

For Anglia’s customers, the partnership effectively broadens the pool of viable analog and mixed-signal parts without sacrificing quality or reliability, and it gives European OEMs and design houses a new lever to manage both cost and supply risk in future builds.
