Through this partnership, Yokogawa will use its worldwide service network to market, deploy, and support CMC’s PEMS software across global markets enhancing its emissions monitoring capabilities and helping industrial customers meet tightening environmental regulations more efficiently.

As industries worldwide face fast-evolving sustainability standards and growing expectations for transparent, data-driven emissions reporting, PEMS are emerging as a flexible and efficient alternative to traditional hardware-based systems.

Using real-time process data from distributed control systems (DCS), these software-based tools apply advanced algorithms to accurately predict emissions, making them simple to implement and maintain.

CMC’s PEMS platform features a proprietary statistical engine that creates precise emissions models for gas and liquid-fired turbines, boilers, and other industrial equipment. It automatically generates electronic emissions reports in formats approved by regulatory bodies such as the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Currently installed at more than 100 sites worldwide including facilities in the chemical, petrochemical, oil and gas, and power generation industries CMC’s solution has earned a solid reputation for performance, reliability, and adaptability.

With decades of expertise in hardware-based continuous emissions monitoring systems (CEMS), Yokogawa is now broadening its offering to include complete PEMS solutions, covering installation, accuracy audits, and system revalidation after process modifications. These services will support both new projects and CMC’s existing installations.

Yokogawa also plans to introduce a hybrid PEMS–CEMS model for its existing customers, ensuring smooth integration between predictive software and proven hardware systems.

By combining advanced modeling with Yokogawa’s robust monitoring technologies and global engineering support, customers can expect consistent quality, reliable implementation, and long-term service backed by tailored solutions that help them maintain full regulatory compliance.

Brian Swanson, president of CMC Solutions, described the agreement as follows: “This partnership is unique due to the shared vision we have of enabling customers to monitor and minimize their pollutant emission rates efficiently. CMC’s PEMS technology is a proven product with a low total cost of ownership. The CMC statistical hybrid predictive engine interfaces directly with Yokogawa’s DCS to enable their global service team to deploy extremely cost-effective monitoring solutions for customers in various industries operating throughout the world.”

Yasumasa Ogawa, a Yokogawa Electric vice president & executive officer and head of the company’s Projects & Services Business Division, commented, “We are excited to bring this industry?leading PEMS technology to customers around the world. This agreement reflects the shared vision of both organizations to drive innovation and sustainability in emission monitoring, contributing to a cleaner and more sustainable future for industries worldwide.”
