Stellantis reaffirmed its dedication to innovation and quality in automotive technology with the announcement of the opening of its expanded lab and office facilities in Bengaluru. A 50% increase in seating capacity is part of the extension, which will allow team members to collaborate more effectively.
High-performance computer systems and cutting-edge cockpit technologies may be built internally thanks to the new lab infrastructure, which is made to facilitate end-to-end development that combines hardware and software. By drastically lowering the amount of CPUs in vehicles, this project will improve overall performance and streamline operations.

In order to improve the entire acoustic experiences in the cockpit, Stellantis is also growing its audio engineering and acoustic skills with an emphasis on performance enhancement. In order to provide exceptional audio quality and features that can accommodate a variety of cabin situations, the Lab will facilitate audio tuning, benchmarking, active sound design, noise management, and telephony, among other things.
In keeping with Stellantis’ global vision, the Bengaluru plant will be essential to the company’s support of its many international brands. Stellantis hopes to use this new facility to expand its product line and provide clients all around the world with outstanding solutions.
Led by Stellantis’ Chief Software Officer, Yves Bonnefont, the inauguration highlighted the strategic importance of the Bengaluru facility in supporting the company’s global objectives.
“With this expansion, we are enhancing our capabilities in software-defined vehicles and establishing India as a key development hub for Stellantis globally,” said Yves Bonnefont. “Our lab can now develop advanced telematics, digital cockpits, ADAS, and more, enabling us to develop innovative solutions that meet the needs of customers in both domestic and international markets.”
