In a regulatory filing, Tata Electronics said lately that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Synopsys, a company that provides silicon to systems design solutions. The two companies will work together on process technology and foundry design platform to accelerate customer products in India’s first fab unit, Dholera – Gujarat.
According to the application, the Tata group firm is building the plant in Dholera, Gujarat and the two companies will collaborate on a number of projects under the agreement.
According to the filing, a meeting was held by the top teams of both companies at the Tata group headquarters in Mumbai.

With a total expenditure of Rs 91,000 crore ($11 billion), Tata Electronics had announced intentions to construct the nation’s first fab in Dholera in February of this year. Additionally, the business had declared that it will invest an additional Rs 27,000 crore on a greenfield plant for semiconductor chip assembly and testing in Jagiroad, Assam.
In order to serve clients worldwide, these facilities will work together to develop semiconductor chips for use in the automotive, mobile, artificial intelligence (AI), and other important sectors.
