Pickering Interfaces will showcase its modular signal switching solutions for semiconductor test and verification at Microelectronics UK, taking place from 29-30 September at ExCeL London. The company will also introduce visitors to its recently launched Test System Architect, a graphical design tool aimed at making signal switching and cabling system design simpler.

Visitors can find Pickering Interfaces at stand E42, where the company will demonstrate solutions designed to address the demands of semiconductor test, from high-density switching and low-level measurements to flexible test system configuration.
Microelectronics UK brings together professionals from across the UK’s microelectronics ecosystem, including design, research and development, advanced manufacturing and testing. The event covers a broad range of technologies spanning semiconductors, photonics and embedded systems.
Among the products on display will be the 65-221 LXI reed relay plug-in matrix, designed for use with Pickering’s LXI scalable chassis. The matrix features a dual 128×4 configuration and was originally developed for semiconductor applications including parametric testing, where high-density switching is essential.
Pickering will also highlight its LXI switched guard plug-in matrix, which delivers isolation resistance of up to 10¹² ?. The solution is designed for applications requiring accurate, low-level measurements, making it well suited to semiconductor test environments where signal integrity and isolation are critical.
For applications requiring high crosspoint density, Pickering will demonstrate its 40-558 12-slot BRIC PXI matrix. The matrix uses instrumentation-quality reed relays and forms part of the company’s range of ultra-high-density large PXI matrices, giving engineers flexibility when building high-performance switching systems.
Another solution featured at the event will be the 60-102 7-slot LXI/USB modular chassis. Fully compliant with the LXI standard, the chassis allows 3U PXI switching and simulation modules to be remotely controlled through USB or within an Ethernet-based LXI environment.
Alongside its hardware portfolio, Pickering will put the spotlight on Test System Architect, its free online graphical design tool. The software allows engineers to design, configure and visualise complete signal paths before a system is deployed. By providing a clearer view of the planned signal architecture, the tool is intended to help reduce development time and minimise design errors.
Also featured will be solutions from Pickering’s reed relay and connectivity divisions.
The company’s presence at the event comes as semiconductor test systems continue to demand greater switching density, signal integrity and design flexibility, particularly as devices and test architectures become increasingly complex.
