Fujiyama Power Systems has taken another big step in its rooftop solar strategy with the commissioning of a new 2 GW power electronics manufacturing facility in Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh. The plant will turn out a wide range of products, including solar inverters and UPS systems, backing the company’s push to supply India’s fast-growing distributed solar market with domestically manufactured hardware.

The new line forms part of a larger greenfield expansion at Ratlam, where Fujiyama has already brought a 2 GW solar module manufacturing facility online earlier this year.
With the electronics capacity addition, the company’s total power electronics manufacturing footprint now stands at 4.2 GW, giving it greater ability to serve rooftop projects with in-house modules, inverters, batteries and related equipment from a single integrated hub. The company is positioning this enlarged capacity as a way to meet rising rooftop solar demand while tightening control over quality, cost and delivery timelines.
Fujiyama describes the Ratlam electronics plant as central to its long-term plan to build a vertically integrated rooftop solar manufacturing platform, bringing key parts of the value chain under one roof. Alongside ongoing investment in battery production at the same site, the facility is expected to strengthen its competitive edge in India’s rooftop solar segment, where reliability, serviceability and local supply have become crucial for project execution.
More broadly, the commissioning highlights the growing importance of domestic manufacturing in India’s clean energy transition, especially in rooftop and behind-the-meter deployments where power electronics and storage systems are critical to system performance.
As more companies develop integrated complexes like Ratlam electronics plant, the market is likely to see closer alignment between module, inverter and battery supply, with knock-on effects for pricing, technology choices and how installers and distributors manage their relationships across the rooftop ecosystem.
Leadership Comment
Commenting on the development, Chairman and Joint Managing Director Mr. Pawan Kumar Garg said, “The commissioning of our power electronics manufacturing facility at Ratlam represents another important milestone in Fujiyama’s growth journey. As demand for rooftop solar solutions continues to grow across India, strengthening our manufacturing capabilities in power electronics enables us to deliver reliable, high quality products while improving operational efficiencies and supply chain integration.”
