Stäubli announced a $10 million strategic investment in a major expansion of its Bangalore manufacturing facility. Stäubli’s position in India’s quickly expanding solar photovoltaic (PV) sector is strengthened by the expansion, which also reaffirms the company’s long-term commitment to the country’s industrial growth and the ‘Make in India’ campaign.

In order to manufacture MC4-Evo1 and MC4-Evo2 connectors essential parts that link solar modules to inverters and balance-of-system equipment the new plant will have advanced automated assembly lines and enhanced quality assurance systems.

The move strengthens Stäubli’s ability to meet rising domestic demand for high-quality, locally manufactured PV connectors, while also supporting global supply requirements.

India’s solar sector continues to expand at scale, increasing the need for dependable, locally manufactured components.

Stäubli’s expanded Bangalore facility addresses this demand by enabling higher production volumes, reduced lead times, and improved supply chain resilience for OEMs, EPC players, and asset owners.

In line with rigorous environmental standards, the facility runs as a zero-discharge facility and incorporates state-of-the-art automation and energy-efficient manufacturing processes.

Today, the company serves customers in important parts of India, including as Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Chennai, and Karnataka, highlighting the company’s robust national presence in the renewable energy ecosystem.

As the use of renewable energy increases globally, the Bangalore facility will be essential to the company’s global operations, servicing both established and developing markets.

Along with boosting backward integration and India’s renewable energy manufacturing ecosystem, the expansion also involves a local vendor development initiative.

The expanded Bangalore facility commence its production in January 2026.
