Celera Semiconductor Secures Equity Investment from Maverick Silicon

Celera Semiconductor has secured a $20 million Series A funding round led by Maverick Silicon, marking a pivotal moment for the analog chip market.

Celera Semiconductor $20 million funding for Analog Chip

The Silicon Valley-based startup specializes in automating analog integrated circuit (IC) design—an area long bottlenecked by slow, manual processes.

Using its patented Nestos platform, built on digital twin models, Celera promises to deliver full-custom analog ICs at a fraction of the time and cost demanded by legacy methods.

This investment, according to CEO Patrick Brockett, addresses soaring demand for custom silicon in fields like AI and edge computing, blending deep analog design experience with advanced software and AI talent.

Notably, Celera claims it can decrease development timelines by 90%, enabling near real-time customization for original equipment manufacturers.

Maverick Silicon’s backing allows Celera to scale its turnkey solutions more aggressively, targeting a market that traditional semiconductor players and manual design flows have struggled to serve efficiently.

For the industry, Celera Semiconductor approach signals a move away from labor-intensive analog design—historically plagued by talent shortages and outdated tools—towards a faster, more responsive future.

Maverick’s managing director, Kenneth Safar, highlighted the importance of this shift, noting that Celera is ushering in a new era where real-time analog development is not just aspirational, but achievable.
