Polymatech Electronics Limited has secured a key milestone in its semiconductor expansion plans, with the Government of India formally notifying its Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Chhattisgarh.
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, through a Gazette notification (S.O. 3675(E)), has approved 10.13 hectares of land in Mandir Hasaud, Nava Raipur, Atal Nagar, for the development of the SEZ.
The notified area includes Plot Nos. 17/A, 17/B and 16/1A. This follows the earlier Letter of Approval granted on 9 June 2026 for the development, operation, and maintenance of the zone.
The SEZ is expected to play a significant role in boosting India’s semiconductor and electronics manufacturing capabilities. Polymatech aims to use the facility for export-oriented production, advanced electronics manufacturing, and building a globally competitive ecosystem from Chhattisgarh.
As part of the notification, the government has also constituted the SEZ’s Approval Committee and designated 6 July 2026 as the effective date from which the zone will function as an Inland Container Depot under the Customs Act, 1962. This status is expected to streamline customs procedures, logistics, and export operations.
The company said it will continue working with relevant authorities to develop infrastructure and operationalise the SEZ. Polymatech plans to fund the project through internal resources, maintaining a capital-disciplined approach aligned with its long-term strategy of strengthening self-reliant capabilities across the semiconductor and electronics value chain.
