Littelfuse has introduced the TX00AS314TRA Omnipolar TMR Switch Sensor, a compact magnetic sensing solution built for fast response, high sensitivity, and ultra-low power use in battery-powered applications.
The TX00AS314TRA combines a precision TMR sensing element with CMOS signal-processing circuitry, including an on-chip voltage generator, low-noise amplifier, comparator, and Schmitt trigger.
This combination helps deliver:
- Accurate switching,
- Strong noise immunity,
- Solid thermal stability.
The new omnipolar TMR Switch Sensor also supports X-axis, or in-plane, magnetic sensing, allowing the device to detect magnetic fields parallel to the sensor surface and giving engineers more flexibility in mechanical design. With a typical supply current of just 1.5 µA and high-speed detection up to 1 kHz, it is well suited for dynamic, always-on systems.
Unlike traditional Hall-effect sensors, the TX00AS314TRA uses omnipolar detection, so it can respond to both North and South magnetic poles.
That makes magnet alignment easier, reduces mechanical constraints, and speeds up system design. Its precise operate and release thresholds, along with built-in hysteresis, help ensure clean, bounce-free switching even in electrically noisy environments.
By enabling accurate magnetic detection with minimal power draw, the TX00AS314TRA helps engineers build smaller, smarter, and longer-lasting products while also reducing maintenance needs and improving overall system reliability.
It also expands Littelfuse’s TMR sensor portfolio and strengthens its position in energy-efficient sensing for next-generation electronics.
