VIAVI Solutions has introduced its new Observer Threat Forensics solution, featuring advanced retrospective analysis designed to strengthen enterprise threat detection and response. The solution will be showcased at RSA Conference 2026 in San Francisco (Booth N5484) from March 23–26.

As the industry shifts from siloed network and security teams toward a unified NetSecOps approach, VIAVI’s Observer Threat Forensics aims to close key visibility gaps that often delay incident response and reduce organizational resilience.
The solution helps enterprises analyze potential vulnerabilities post-incident identifying breach origins, intrusion points, and data exposure paths.
Built on VIAVI’s long-standing expertise in network operations management and powered by CrowdStrike® threat intelligence, Observer Threat Forensics integrates packet insights, flow data, and log telemetry into a single NetSecOps workflow.
It also delivers retrospective forensic capabilities for deep, historical analysis. A unified dashboard brings together site, application, network, and unified communications (UC) views, giving teams a clear picture of end-user experience, system performance, and underlying issues in real time.
According to VIAVI’s State of the Network report, 79% of CIOs and CISOs see the convergence of network and security operations as essential to mitigate risk and improve visibility, yet only 27% of organizations have taken steps toward adopting the NetSecOps model.
At RSA, VIAVI will demonstrate Observer Threat Forensics as part of its broader NetSecOps lifecycle suite, which spans from pre-deployment validation to live threat forensics.
In addition, Chris Labac and Yury German, Senior Product Manager at VIAVI, will present “NetSecOps: Network Visibility for Stronger Security and Performance” on March 24 at 1:30 PM PT in the RSAC Insights Theater. The company will also feature its CyberFlood solution for security and network performance testing at its booth.
Leadership Comments
“That two-thirds of those wanting to switch still have not done so highlights the challenges organizations face when transitioning to a converged operational framework,” said Chris Labac, Vice President and General Manager, Network Performance and Threat Solutions, VIAVI. “VIAVI’s Observer Threat Forensics leverages common datasets already collected for our network performance monitoring platform. Because the network traffic, enriched flow data, and metadata are already there, NetOps and SecOps can use the same
data to gain performance insights and investigate security threats. We’ve built in an advanced array of NetSecOps functions that together give better awareness of the situation across the entire enterprise, eliminate noise and close the data gaps.”
“Security and network teams can no longer operate in silos – because adversaries don’t,” said Daniel Bernard, Chief Business Officer, CrowdStrike. “By integrating CrowdStrike’s real-time adversary intelligence into VIAVI’s deep network visibility, organizations gain the context they need to quickly investigate incidents, understand impact and stop breaches across domains. Together, we’re helping customers unify NetSecOps workflows with the adversary intelligence required to outpace modern threats.”
