Element Solutions Acquires Micromax to Expand Deep Materials Focus

Element Solutions Inc (ESI) announced completion of its acquisition of the Micromax conductive pastes and inks business, effective February 2, 2026. Micromax will operate within MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions, part of ESI’s Electronics segment.

Element Solutions Completes Micromax Acquisition

The acquisition is known to reinforce ESI’s position as a top global supplier of specialized electronic materials to the electronics design and manufacturing industry.

ESI increases its capacity to foster innovation in advanced and high-reliability electronics applications by merging MacDermid Alpha’s extensive electronics materials portfolio with Micromax’s expertise in conductive pastes, inks, and ceramic materials.

Building Breakthroughs by Leveraging Our Combined Expertise

Customers now have access to a wider, highly complementary portfolio of advanced electronic materials designed to enable reliability, efficiency, and flexibility in design through the new acquisition of MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions.

Low Temperature Co-Fired Ceramic (LTCC) materials that support high multilayer circuit density and withstand extreme operating environments are included in the combined portfolio, along with thick-film conductive inks compatible with polymer films, glass tapes, metals, and ceramics.

These materials serve a variety of end-use markets, including consumer electronics, automotive and advanced mobility, telecommunications/5G infrastructure, aerospace and defense, and medical devices. They are utilized in critical electronic functions like circuits, interconnection, and packaging.
