Artificial Electronics Intelligent Materials Limited (AEIM), a Chennai-based company, is investing INR 10,000 crore to establish an advanced semiconductor materials manufacturing plant in Nava Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

The facility will focus on producing critical semiconductor materials such as sapphire ingots, wafers, and next-generation electronic substrates, bolstering India’s semiconductor supply chain and technological self-reliance.
The project secured 11.28 acres in the Kosala Industrial Park and is scheduled to commence commercial production by the third quarter of 2026. AEIM expects the initiative to create over 4,000 direct high-skilled jobs in the region, fostering engineering talent development and economic growth.
The company will implement cutting-edge construction technologies for rapid development, aiming to complete the first phase of the multi-storey industrial complex by May 2026.
AEIM has already placed orders for advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment from leading global suppliers in Japan, South Korea, and the United States to align with the production timeline.
AEIM’s investment is a strategic move to strengthen India’s position in the global semiconductor industry, supporting national initiatives aimed at reducing dependence on imports and boosting domestic innovation.
The project aligns with the broader vision of developing Chhattisgarh into a pivotal technology and manufacturing hub.
