Nigel is affirmed to be trained to comprehend NI software and is based on cutting-edge large language models, is a reliable advisor who helps engineers boost productivity while keeping control of their test environment.
By evaluating code and offering suggestions for enhancements during the test development and execution process, this new technology assists engineers in making better use of its flagship test software, NI LabVIEW and NI TestStand.
Nigel protects user data via a secure cloud platform and allows users to ask inquiries using plain English prompts to receive detailed recommendations for using hundreds of functionalities.
Driven by Emerson’s investment in incorporating AI capabilities into its extensive array of NI test and measurement software, Nigel AI Advisor was first made available to attendees at this year’s NI Connect conference.
In order to free up engineers’ time and resources for more complex tasks, Emerson intends to further incorporate Nigel into its other test software products.
Nigel AI Advisor will grow in intelligence and open up even more opportunities in the field as huge language models develop and Emerson keeps improving for test and measurement-specific activities.
