The new R&S UDS digital multimeter series is presented by Rohde & Schwarz. The compact instruments have many remote control interfaces, a variety of measurement functions, and the ability to show three measurements at once.

Both 5 ½ and 6 ½ digit resolution models are available; the latter has a basic DC accuracy of 0.0075 percent. The well-known R&S HMC8012 digital multimeter has been replaced by the R&S UDS series, which offers improved accuracy and a modern, user-friendly interface for seamless and effective testing.
With their wide variety of testing capabilities, Rohde & Schwarz’s new R&S UDS digital multimeters are perfect for component testing, system validation, troubleshooting, and educational teaching laboratories. They also work effectively in manufacturing settings where accuracy and dependability are crucial.
These multimeters offer a complete solution for a variety of measuring applications thanks to their voltage ranges of up to 1000 V DC and 750 V AC and their 10 A current capacity.
They have a 3.5″ OVGA color display for great reading and an intuitive user interface. Up to three measurement readings can be shown on the wide screen at once, which simplifies test procedures and boosts output.
Advanced Measurement Capabilities
The multimeters have built-in statistical and mathematical functions in addition to twelve standard measurement functions, which makes them appropriate for a variety of applications, such as limit testing and two-wire and four-wire measurements.
The new multimeters have multiple interfaces for remote control, such as IEEE-488 (GPIB) for SCPI-based commands, USB, and LAN (Ethernet). Because of this, the R&S UDS digital multimeter can be easily integrated into any production line or test setup, offering unmatched ease and versatility.
The new R&S®UDS series will replace the well-known R&S HMC8012 digital multimeter, which is being phased out. Rohde & Schwarz and a few chosen distribution channel partners sell the instruments, which are a part of the R&S Essentials line.
