The TDSW050A2T, a high-performance, rad-tolerant RF switch built for demanding aerospace and defense applications, has been released by Teledyne HiRel Semiconductors.
This reflective single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) switch operates across an ultra-wide frequency range from true DC to 50 GHz.
It has outstanding radio frequency (RF) performance, including low insertion loss, strong port isolation (23 dB at 50 GHz), quick switching, and excellent linearity.
The TDSW050A2T, a high-performance, rad-tolerant RF switch built for demanding aerospace and defense applications, has been released by Teledyne HiRel Semiconductors.
The switch, which is packaged using a 150nm pseudomorphic High Electron Mobility Transistor (pHEMT) InGaAs process, comes in a compact die that measures only 1.15 mm by 1.47 mm by 0.1 mm, making it perfect for hybrid assemblies.
It is powered by ±5V power supply, uses very little DC power, and is controlled by signals that are compatible with TTL.
With radiation tolerance up to 100 krad (Si), the TDSW050A2T is rated to MIL-PRF-38534 Class K equivalence and is designed to fulfill the demanding requirements of space-grade applications.
It provides reliable performance for satellite systems, radar, electronic warfare, and other high-frequency military technology. It can handle input powers with a 1 dB compression point at 23 dBm (typical).
Teledyne’s DoD Trusted Facility in Milpitas, California, is presently accepting orders for the switch. With the launching of this switch, Teledyne demonstrates its dedication to providing wideband signal routing at millimeter-wave frequencies for high-reliability systems.
