DigiKey has announced its sponsorship of the AIoT Design Challenge 2026, an initiative designed to spark innovation at the convergence of artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things.

The challenge is structured to offer participants a well-rounded and rewarding innovation journey.
Once registered, participants gain access to a range of resources to support their projects, including development board details, technical specifications, sample idea submissions, project writing guidelines, and curated learning videos. These tools are intended to help participants confidently turn their ideas into working solutions.
The competition also brings attractive rewards. Selected participants will receive development boards from leading suppliers such as Analog Devices, Arduino, and M5Stack. In terms of cash prizes, the winner will receive ?1,00,000, followed by ?30,000 for second place and ?20,000 for third.
Additionally, 15 entries will be recognized as “most popular” projects, each receiving ?5,000. Participants who submit a qualified project abstract will also earn a Certificate of Participation.
Beyond the prizes, the challenge offers valuable industry visibility. Winning projects will be featured on ElectronicsForU.com, complete with a dedicated author page, and promoted across EFY’s digital platforms.
Entries will be reviewed by a panel of experienced industry experts. Evaluation criteria include creativity and innovation, effective use of DigiKey-sourced components, quality of documentation, real-world relevance, and the strength of video demonstrations.
This ensures a comprehensive and fair assessment while encouraging participants to build practical, well-documented solutions.
