TASKING India and dSPACE India Solutions have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen the development and validation of safety- and mission-critical software for India’s growing aerospace and defence sector.

The agreement was announced at ESSS 2026 in Bengaluru and brings together TASKING’s software development, verification and testing capabilities with dSPACE’s expertise in model-based development, simulation and validation.
Under the collaboration, the two companies will support organizations across the aerospace and defence ecosystem with technologies covering the design, development, virtualization, verification, validation and simulation of safety- and mission-critical software.
The partnership combines TASKING’s integrated software development toolchain, including compilers, debuggers and unit-testing solutions, with dSPACE’s model-based development, simulation, automated testing and code-generation capabilities. The collaboration also covers middleware solutions and continuous software validation through software-in-the-loop (SIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) environments for sensor-fusion line-replaceable units (LRUs).
The companies said the combined capabilities are intended to help aerospace and defence organizations manage growing software complexity while addressing demanding safety, certification and compliance requirements.
For TASKING, the agreement builds on its expanding portfolio for mission-critical software development. Its acquisition of LDRA in 2025 strengthened its capabilities in software verification, testing, traceability and standards compliance, further extending its offering for highly regulated industries such as aerospace and defence.
For dSPACE India Solutions, the MoU marks another step in its engagement with India’s aerospace and defence ecosystem. Globally, dSPACE has more than two decades of experience supporting aerospace and defence programs, with its technologies used across commercial aviation, defence and space applications.
The collaboration comes as India continues to increase investment in indigenous aerospace and defence capabilities under initiatives including Atmanirbhar Bharat. This expansion is creating greater demand for integrated engineering environments that can reduce development risks, improve software quality, simplify verification and support faster certification readiness.
The MoU provides a framework for TASKING and dSPACE India Solutions to work with customers, industry stakeholders, academic institutions and ecosystem partners across the aerospace and defence software development lifecycle.
Through the collaboration, the companies aim to promote engineering excellence, strengthen certification preparedness and contribute to the development of safer and more reliable aerospace and defence systems in India.
