Graphene Pioneer Dr. Vikas Berry Named Argo CEO

THE VOLT VOTES

Argo Graphene Solutions has named Dr. Vikas Berry as its new Chief Executive Officer, marking a pivotal step as the company moves from technology acquisition to full-scale commercialization of graphene solutions. He succeeds Sean McAlpine, who has served as Interim CEO since June 2026 and will continue to support the company’s strategic growth as a member of the Board of Directors.

Argo Graphene Appoints Dr. Vikas Berry as CEO The Volt Post

Dr. Berry is the inventor of Argo’s proprietary STREAM™ graphene production platform and founder of Grapherry, Inc., where the technology was originally developed.

Over the past two decades, he has established himself as an internationally recognized graphene scientist, inventor and entrepreneur, focused on solving one of the sector’s biggest challenges, creating scalable, cost-effective production methods that can bridge the gap between lab research and industrial deployment.

Following a review of potential executive candidates, Argo’s Board concluded that the architect of the licensed STREAM™ technology was best positioned to lead the company into its next phase of growth. Under Argo’s exclusive worldwide licence agreement, the company holds rights to commercialize STREAM™ and has a defined pathway to full ownership of the platform and its associated intellectual property once agreed consideration milestones are met.

Recent successful cement testing announced by Argo has provided an important early proof point for the STREAM™ platform, demonstrating measurable performance gains in a commercially relevant construction materials application. While construction is a key opportunity, Argo’s ambitions extend far beyond a single sector.

The company is actively advancing graphene-enabled technologies across a wide range of high-growth markets, including energy storage, advanced batteries, artificial intelligence infrastructure, data centres, semiconductors, advanced electronics, agriculture, coatings, composites and industrial manufacturing.

Management believes that as industries seek lighter, stronger, more conductive and more sustainable materials, graphene is poised to become an enabling technology across many of these applications, with the STREAMâ„¢ platform serving as the foundation for scalable production.

As Argo expands its research programs, product development efforts, strategic partnerships and commercial validation initiatives, its goal is to establish itself as a leading North American graphene producer and commercialization company. The long-term vision is to build a vertically integrated business delivering a diversified portfolio of graphene-enabled solutions to multiple global industries.
