MIKROE has rolled out versions 7.5.0 and 7.5.1 of its multi-architectural IDE, NECTO Studio, bringing major additions for developers working with Renesas microcontrollers.

The latest updates introduce native compiler support for Renesas RL78 LLVM and RX architectures, expanding the lineup with 58 new MCUs and fully integrated toolchains.
Engineers can now build, configure, and manage RL78 and RX projects directly inside the familiar NECTO environment, streamlining workflows and slashing setup times across different hardware architectures.
Smarter Collaboration and Project Sharing
Collaboration just got a lot easier thanks to new features built directly into the Project Explorer:
- Send to NECTO Chat: Instantly share entire projects with teammates in a single click, eliminating the need to manually zip and email files.
- Direct Community Uploads: Publishing projects to the community is now automated. The new ‘Upload Project’ action automatically pulls key details like your display name, version, configuration, and active Click boards across mikroBUS
- My Packages: A newly added section in the Package Manager gives users a centralized dashboard to manage all their uploaded projects.
Expanding Global Reach
To make the platform more accessible worldwide, MIKROE has also added French and German language support, broadening NECTO Studio’s multi-language capabilities for engineers across Europe and beyond.
