How this MoU Defines VR for a New Era in Education

Under the MoU, Medisim VR will establish an immersive and realistic skill training lab for medical students, nursing students, faculty, and allied healthcare professionals.

The VR Skill Training Lab Will Offer:

  • Advanced VR medical simulations.
  • Users to practise medical procedures and develop critical clinical skills in a safe and controlled setting.
  • The new VR skill training lab is set to benefit students’ career development and placement opportunities.
  • It equips them with hands-on experience, boosting their confidence and expertise in medical procedures.

As a Center of Excellence (CoE), the simulation lab will play a pivotal role in upskilling medical students, nursing students and healthcare professionals, as well as professionals from other medical colleges across Chennai.

This innovative collaboration with Medisim VR demonstrates SRIHER’s strategic vision of providing students with the most effective learning experiences.

Along with the Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Uma Sekar, the MOU signing ceremony between Medisim VR and SRIHER was graced by distinguished guests, including Registrar Prof. Roopa Nagarajan, Dr. K.V. Somasundaram, Dr. K Balaji Singh, Dr. Latha Ravichandran, Dr. Surendaran, Prof. Ravi Anamalai, and Prof. Ravindran.

Dr. Adith Chinnaswami, co-founder of Medisim VR, expressed his delight in collaborating with SRIHER. “Partnering with SRIHER is a milestone moment for Medisim VR and the future of educational technology in India,” he said. “Our collaboration, combining VR innovations with SRIHER’s excellence, paves the way for a new era in education.
