CERBAIR Picks Paras Defence Counter UAS Technology

The leading European counter-UAV company, CERBAIR, based in France, plans to purchase up to 30 CHIMERA 200 systems, which are advanced Man portable radio frequency detection and neutralization devices intended to serve as primary defense against drone and swarm drone threats, according to a statement released by Paras Anti Drone Technologies, a subsidiary of Paras Defence and Space Technologies.Paras Anti Drone CHIMERA 200 to be bought by CERBAIR

The Paras agreement, which is valued at about ?22 crore (€2.2 million), enhances India’s standing as a reputable and up-and-coming exporter of advanced defense technologies. Additionally, it supports the nation’s defense production and export promotion policy, which aims to increase defense exports by $5 billion annually by 2025, as well as the Make in India initiative.

Field-tested on India’s vital infrastructure sites, the CHIMERA 200 appeals to both domestic and foreign security agencies due to its adaptability against changing UAV threats, rapid deployment capabilities, and strong and upgradeable wideband detection and neutralization capabilities.

In order to meet Europe’s escalating security environment, CERBAIR has prioritized improved detection and neutralization power customisation, creating demand on a global scale. This collaboration shows how confident the world is in India’s capacity to create and provide reliable, reasonably priced defense solutions on a large scale.

Modern manufacturing facilities spread throughout India allow Paras Defence and its subsidiaries to produce high-quality, world-class, and reasonably priced goods for clients in the military, homeland security, and critical infrastructure sectors globally.

Through 2026 and beyond, Paras Defence hopes to open up new export prospects for increased collaboration and upcoming deliveries by collaborating with European counter-UAV leaders like as CERBAIR.

The CHIMERA 200 is a world-class counter-UAS system that supports both omnidirectional and directional operations and has unique wideband detection and neutralization capabilities.

Its flexible, upgradeable design allows for accurate threat identification over 400 MHz to 6 GHz frequencies with up to five concurrent bands, including drones, remote controls, and their take-off and control sites.

It can combat drone threats today while developing to handle IEDs, signal spoofing, and more general electronic warfare requirements thanks to its scalable design, low false alarm rate, secure API for C2 and weapons integration, and evolutionary RF architecture.

The CHIMERA 200 is expected to be a key component of India’s future defense export aspirations, demonstrating the nation’s capacity to provide partners abroad with state-of-the-art, mission-ready technologies and advancing the goal of establishing India as a global center for advanced defense innovation and manufacturing.

Additionally, by showcasing India’s ability to provide advanced, scalable, and export-ready systems to foreign partners, this partnership strengthens India’s potential to develop into a future global center for defense production. Paras Anti Drone CHIMERA 200 to be bought by CERBAIR
