The new series is aimed at applications that require a combination of cost efficiency, reliable performance and compact power conversion. The converters are housed in an encapsulated and shielded metal package measuring just 2″ × 1″ × 0.43″, helping designers save board and system space without compromising functionality.

The TEN 80WI series features an integrated remote on/off function and output trim, giving engineers greater flexibility when integrating the converters into their power architectures.

According to TRACO Power, the converters achieve efficiency levels of up to 92% and can operate across a temperature range of –40°C to +60°C without derating. All models offer a wide 4:1 input voltage range and provide precisely regulated, fully isolated outputs.

Safety certification is another key aspect of the series. The TEN 80WI is certified to the latest IEC/EN/UL 62368-1 IT safety standard, supporting its use across a range of electronic systems where safety, reliability and cost are important considerations.
