Matrix Geo Solutions Completes 314 Km Highway Survey Across Haryana

THE VOLT VOTES

Matrix Geo Solutions Limited has completed a large-scale highway survey covering approximately 314 km across five road sections in Haryana, marking another major project in the company’s geospatial engineering portfolio.Matrix Geo Completes 314 Km Highway Survey in Haryana The Volt Post

The assignment was carried out under LOT-2/HARYANA/Package-1 for RITES Limited, a Navratna public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Railways. RITES awarded the consultancy work on behalf of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) as part of preparations for a Detailed Project Report covering economic corridors, inter-corridor routes and feeder routes.

The broader objective of the project is to support improved freight movement and connectivity across key highway corridors in the country.

Multiple survey technologies deployed

Matrix Geo Solutions combined aerial, mobile and ground-based survey technologies to map the physical and underground characteristics of the identified highway sections.

The company used Aerial and Mobile LiDAR along with UAV systems to capture topographic information. Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) was deployed for utility mapping, helping identify underground infrastructure along the surveyed stretches.

The scope also included a Final Location Survey, support for land acquisition activities and the digitisation of cadastral maps.

Bringing these datasets together was an important part of the assignment, as terrain information, road alignment, underground utilities and land records need to remain spatially consistent during highway planning and development.

Five highway sections covered

The survey covered five road sections across Haryana.

These included the Rewari–Narnaul–Pacheri Kalan section on NH-11, along with Narnaul–Nangal Chaudhary–Paniyala Mor on NH-148B.

The assignment also covered Gurgaon–Pataudi–Rewari on NH-352W, Sangat Kalan–Mandi Dabwali–Sangaria on NH-54, and the Bhiwani–Bawani Khera–Hansi–Barwala section on NH-148B.

The varied routes required the integration of multiple survey datasets across a substantial geographic area, making data accuracy and consistency critical to the overall assignment.

Completion certificate issued by RITES

The project was executed at a contract value of ?2,82,64,571, including GST.

Following completion, RITES Limited issued an Experience/Completion Certificate dated 21 August 2026, confirming that the assignment had been completed successfully and satisfactorily.

The certification adds to Matrix Geo Solutions’ track record in large-scale highway surveying, mapping and infrastructure consultancy.

Geospatial technology supports highway planning

Modern highway development increasingly relies on accurate spatial data well before construction begins. Detailed information on terrain, existing infrastructure, utilities, land parcels and road alignments can help project teams make better decisions during planning and design.

The Haryana assignment demonstrates how multiple geospatial technologies can be brought together within a single infrastructure project. LiDAR and UAV-based surveys provide detailed surface information, while GPR adds visibility into underground utilities. Final location surveys and cadastral digitisation further connect the engineering data with land and alignment requirements.

For Matrix Geo Solutions, the completion of the 314 km assignment strengthens its experience in delivering integrated geospatial solutions for major transportation infrastructure projects.

As India continues to expand economic corridors and improve freight connectivity, the demand for accurate, technology-driven surveying and mapping is expected to remain an important part of the infrastructure development process.

Leadership Comment
