TME Showcases Panasonic’s Resilient Passives at electronica

THE VOLT VOTES

At this year’s electronica, TME is showcasing Panasonic passive components extensive lineup. Visitors to Hall B5:361 can connect with our experts to find the right components for designs that demand compact footprints and long-term stability at elevated temperatures.

As electronics shrink, thermal management and component stability become critical. Panasonic’s chip resistors primarily thick and thin film constructions are built to handle both self-heating and high ambient temperatures. For precision applications, TME stocks variants with tolerances as tight as ±0.05% and a temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) starting at just 10ppm/°C.

To monitor these thermal hotspots, Panasonic’s NTC surface-mount thermistors can be placed directly next to heat-generating elements. Available in tiny 0201, 0402, and 0603 packages, they operate reliably between -40°C and +125°C.

TME carries models with resistances spanning 6.8k? to 100k? and B-constants from 3380K to 4700K, giving engineers the exact sensor characteristics needed for both industrial and consumer applications.

Power supply circuits are also heavily impacted by the push for downsizing. TME stocks over 10,000 Panasonic capacitors, including electrolytic, hybrid, polymer, and film options in both SMD and THT formats. Designed to maintain stable capacitance and low equivalent series resistance (ESR) at temperatures up to +125°C, they keep high-density circuits efficient.

Complementing this power lineup, Panasonic’s surface-mount, wire-wound inductors handle the heavy currents and high heat (up to +150°C) required by modern switching converters.

Featuring inductances from 0.19µH to 0.1mH and select models meeting AEC-Q200 automotive standards, they allow engineers to optimize power circuits for both space and thermal performance.

Finally, to protect these dense, sensitive layouts from interference and power surges, TME’s catalog rounds out with Panasonic EMI filters and varistors. The compact SMD EMI filters easily integrate into 5V DC circuits, while a broad selection of ceramic, metal-oxide, and zinc oxide varistors ensures exact matching for any application’s surge protection requirements.

Leadership Comment

electronica TME Brings Panasonic passive components lineup The Volt Post“Miniaturisation will continue, so selecting passive components becomes one of the key stages of designing more compact electronics,” says Marcin Witkowski, Passive Components Product Group Manager, TME. “Panasonic’s wide portfolio of passive components available at TME enables engineers to choose solutions tailored to the requirements of both simple electronic devices and advanced industrial applications.”

Engineers and industry professionals are invited to meet the TME team during electronica in Munich, located at Booth 361, Hall B5 to learn how Panasonic’s wide portfolio of passive components make the miniaturisation journey a successful one.
