R&S New High-Gain Antennas, Fast EMC Testing at APEMC 2026

THE VOLT VOTES

Rohde & Schwarz is heading to APEMC 2026 in Kuala Lumpur as a Silver Sponsor, bringing a full suite of modern EMC test solutions for consumer electronics, automotive, aerospace, and defense.

R&S Fast EMI Testing and New Antennas at APEMC 2026 The Volt Post

The APEMC 2026 event runs from May 4–7 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) and gathers EMC engineers, researchers, and academics from across the Asia-Pacific region.

At booth A04, Rohde & Schwarz will showcase its latest EMC tools, including two new high-gain antennas and speed-optimized EMI tests.

The R&S HF1444G14 high-gain EMI antenna and the newly launched R&S HF1444G20 high-gain EMS antenna cover 14.9-44 GHz and meet the requirements of CISPR 16-1-4 and CISPR 16-2-3.

The HF1444G14 is ideal for full-compliance EMI testing up to 44 GHz when paired with the industry-leading R&S ESW EMI test receiver, while the HF1444G20, combined with the R&S SAM200 power amplifier, simplifies EMS testing according to the latest MIL-STD-461H.

Live demos will highlight a speed-optimized EMI test workflow, using R&S ELEKTRA to generate 3D emission plots for fast device characterization in commercial EMI tests.

The R&S RTO6 and MXO 5 oscilloscopes will also join an EMC-Partner setup to verify the pulse performance of a high-voltage ESD generator (ESDEX), ensuring alignment with standards such as IEC 61000-4-2.

Beyond the booth, Rohde & Schwarz engineers will run three technical workshops on:

  • Updates to CISPR 32 for multimedia equipment emissions
  • EMC challenges posed by UAVs in populated areas
  • Practical approaches to reverberation chamber measurements

A technical tour organized with SIRIM Berhad will give participants a look at real-world EMC test facilities, where test setups and compliance workflows are demonstrated in-situ.
