KYOCERA AVX at IMS 2026 – RF/Microwave Innovations for 5G and Defense

THE VOLT VOTES

KYOCERA AVX is exhibiting at IMS 2026, the IEEE International Microwave Theory Symposia, this week in Boston, running from Sunday, June 7, through Friday, June 12.

IMS is one of the world’s largest and most prestigious RF and microwave industry conference, packed with opportunities to learn about the latest tech advancements, network with peers and innovators, and tackle the industry’s toughest challenges, i.e. thermal management, SWaP-C constraints, software-defined complexity, and the massive push for multi-domain testing, sub-terahertz frequencies, and quantum performance.

IMS 2026 will draw more than 8,400 attendees from 55 countries, covering the entire wireless technology supply chain from academia and raw materials to chip design, software emulation, automated testing, regulatory compliance, defense systems, and corporate purchasing.

The event features over 500 exhibiting companies, 14 startups, and four complementary symposia: the IEEE MTT-S RF Integrated Circuits (RFIC) Symposium (June 7–9), the new IEEE MTT-S RF Systems & Applications (RFSA) Symposium and IEEE MTT-S RF Technology & Techniques (RFTT) Symposium (June 8–11), plus the ARFTG Microwave Measurement Conference (June 12).

On Thursday, June 11, as part of the IEEE MTT-S RF Technology & Techniques (RFTT) Symposium, KYOCERA AVX Principle Research Engineer Jonathan Herr will present a microwave application seminar titled “Using Thin-Film Sputtering Technologies to Create New Bias Options,” bridging thin-film material science and broadband RF circuit layout to help microwave design engineers overcome physical board constraints without sacrificing signal integrity or DC bias efficiency.

Jonathan will also join Marianne Berolini (VP of Advanced RF Products), Joe Hock (Chief Scientist), Christine McAllister (Technical Sales Manager), and Kalli Todd (Associate Product Marketing Manager) at the KYOCERA AVX exhibition (Booth #16075).

The booth showcases a variety of capacitorscouplersfiltersantennasinductors, and resistive products engineered for high-frequency, ultra-low-loss, and high-density performance in 5G, 6G, and IoT applications, plus stable, mission-critical reliability in aerospace, defense, radar, and satcom.

IMS 2026 Exhibit Highlights:

  • RF and microwave capacitors designed for optimal performance across RF (3kHz–1GHz), microwave (1–300GHz), optical, and high-RF-power applications in consumer, commercial, industrial, telecommunications, automotive, military, aerospace, space, and medical industries—including the newly expanded 550/560 Series ultra-broadband capacitors, built for surging demand in high-speed, high-bandwidth optical communication systems.
  • Thin-film directional couplers, like the DB0402 3dB 90° hybrid couplers, leveraging advanced multilayer technology for elite high-frequency performance: low insertion loss, high isolation, seamless signal distribution, and superior directivity in a rugged, ultra-compact footprint that supports reliable automatic assembly.
  • EMI, low-pass, high-pass, band-pass, and feedthrough filters engineered for superior RF and microwave performance in applications demanding precision, size, and reliability—including BP1206 and BP2816 Series Thin-Film Band-Pass Filters, delivering highly repeatable RF performance in high-power telecommunications, military, aerospace, medical, and consumer electronics with crowded PCBs.
  • Antennas optimized for wireless connectivity across automotive, industrial, IoT, consumer, medical, transportation, and networking industries—including AEC-Q200-tested high-reliability standard and ultra-small chip antennas like the A-Series all-in-one (LTE, GNSS, NTN) embedded automotive broadband antennas and 2.4GHz automotive corner chip antennas.
  • RF and microwave inductors delivering optimal efficiency, precise impedance control, superior space savings, reliability, signal integrity, and low-loss performance in high-frequency telecommunications, aerospace, defense, and high-speed data systems.
  • Attenuators, resistors, and terminations designed to optimize circuit performance, improve energy efficiency, and deliver exceptional accuracy, stability, and reliability across industrial, automotive, consumer electronics, and medical applications.
