The partnership brings together Fortinet’s expertise in purpose-built security processors and Intel’s strengths in advanced chip design, packaging, and manufacturing. The goal is to accelerate SP6 development while enhancing performance capabilities to meet the growing complexity of modern cybersecurity demands.

By leveraging Intel’s ecosystem IP, disaggregated semiconductor design approach, and advanced packaging technologies, the two companies aim to deliver a highly integrated processor capable of supporting increasingly sophisticated security services. The collaboration is also expected to improve supply chain resilience and diversification for Fortinet on a global scale.

Looking ahead, Intel and Fortinet plan to explore deeper collaboration across semiconductor innovation and manufacturing.

This effort is aligned with Fortinet’s long-term ASIC roadmap, with a focus on boosting performance, expanding service capabilities, and strengthening supply chain assurance for customers worldwide.
