Inertial Labs, a VIAVI Solutions company, has introduced PCMasterPro 1.16, the latest version of its software for 3D terrain and surface modeling. The update brings significantly faster processing up to 200% along with new enterprise-scale capabilities. It also adds automation features and real-time haptics, helping engineers, surveyors, cartographers, and VFX designers create highly realistic digital twins from geospatial and 3D data.
The software is built to work seamlessly with the company’s RESEPI (Remote Sensing Payload Instrument) product line. RESEPI combines a dual-antenna GNSS-aided inertial navigation system with a datalogger, LiDAR, camera, and communication tools, enabling both real-time and post-processed point cloud generation.
With PCMasterPro 1.16, users get a more streamlined data processing experience. An upgraded batch processor with templates, profiles, and intuitive workflows makes it easier to manage large datasets.
New command-line tools and a more user-friendly interface allow professionals to tailor workflows to their needs. Performance improvements like parallel processing and real-time quality control through haptics help simplify data import, projection, and export while boosting overall efficiency.
The update also expands export options, now supporting formats such as PCD, PLY, E57, LAS, and LAZ, with both colorized and non-colorized workflows. Photorealistic output is enhanced by embedding RGB data directly into point clouds.
Additional improvements include support for more coordinate systems, better accuracy reporting, expanded colorization controls within the interface, real-time streaming updates, and improved handling of ground control points. A new calibration toolchain further refines camera alignment and projection quality, helping users achieve more precise results.
