VIAVI Solutions has rolled out the CyberFlood CF50, marking a significant footprint reduction for enterprise-scale network testing.
Billed as the industry’s smallest and lightest all-in-one platform of its kind, the CF50 handles application performance, security assessments, AI inference, and large-language model (LLM) testing at speeds up to 100G.
The launch addresses a growing bottleneck in network validation. As architectures shift toward Zero Trust and heavily encrypted, AI-driven applications, simply testing raw infrastructure capacity is no longer enough.
Organizations now need to understand exactly how their security controls impact application responsiveness and the actual user experience.
To bridge this gap, the CF50 generates highly realistic, mixed, and encrypted traffic. This allows service providers, systems integrators, and network equipment manufacturers to rigorously stress-test their networks for resilience and scalability before deploying anything into a live environment.
Despite its highly portable and power-efficient 1U form factor, the new appliance brings heavy-hitting Layer 4-7 traffic generation to the table.
According to VIAVI, the platform boasts the industry’s lowest power consumption in its class, alongside native Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) support and a TLS performance that outpaces its closest competitor by 1.75 times.
On the usability front, VIAVI has completely streamlined the operator experience. The CF50 ditches the traditional MS Windows client requirement in favor of a clean, intuitive web interface.
From there, security teams can easily execute repeatable traffic-mix testing, run MITRE ATT&CK framework validations, and implement automated goal-seeking to validate modern network infrastructure.
