Ten-Nine Technologies Taps Chinese Distributor to Scale “Anti-Aging” EV Battery Tech

A proprietary battery additive capable of extending an electric vehicle’s lifespan to over 265,000 miles is officially making its way into the world’s largest lithium-ion market.

Ten-Nine Technologies has inked a strategic distribution partnership with Shanghai Jiaohang Trading Co., Ltd. to accelerate the rollout of TENIX, a next-generation nano-additive designed to redefine battery performance.

Under the agreement, Jiaohang will spearhead commercial and technical support across China, helping battery manufacturers, cathode producers, and automotive OEMs integrate the technology into their production lines.

Billed as an “anti-aging” agent for batteries, TENIX tackles the chemical decomposition that typically saps power over time. The sustainably produced powder is blended directly into the cathode material during manufacturing, making up just 0.5% to 2% of the cathode’s total weight. Crucially for manufacturers, it requires zero new equipment or battery redesigns to implement.

The performance metrics have already turned heads in third-party testing. By stabilizing the cathode, TENIX delivers over 75% more charge-discharge cycles effectively pushing a standard EV battery’s lifespan from 150,000 miles to more than 265,000 miles.

This extended longevity cuts the overall cost per kilowatt-hour by approximately 40%. Furthermore, the additive lowers battery resistance by 10% for faster charging and reduces lifetime heat output by about 40%, a feature that is becoming critical for high-demand environments like AI-driven data centers.

To penetrate the massive Chinese market, Ten-Nine is leveraging serious industry muscle. Its new partner, Jiaohang, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Changshu Wealthy Science and Technology Co., Ltd. Founded in 1996, Wealthy is a dominant force in the global supply chain, currently controlling more than 40% of the global market and over 70% of the domestic Chinese market for lithium battery anode binders.

By combining Ten-Nine’s cathode technology with Wealthy’s extensive customer network, the partnership aims to fast-track pilot programs and commercial deployment. Moving forward, the two companies will target high-growth sectors, pushing advanced battery materials into automotive, energy storage, consumer electronics, and defense applications.
