Amkor Technology has entered a multi-year strategic partnership with NVIDIA to push the boundaries of advanced semiconductor packaging and test technologies for next-generation AI and accelerated computing platforms. As part of the agreement, NVIDIA will make a prepayment to help fund the expansion of Amkor’s advanced packaging capacity in the United States.
Advanced packaging is increasingly critical to AI infrastructure, enabling higher performance, better energy efficiency and tighter system-level integration.
Through this collaboration, NVIDIA and Amkor plan to align their long-term technology roadmaps and focus on innovations such as high-density interconnects and next-generation heterogeneous integration.
Amkor has already been supplying packaging solutions across NVIDIA’s portfolio, including data center processors, networking chipsets and accelerated computing systems. The expanded partnership is intended to bring new packaging and test technologies to market at scale as demand for AI infrastructure continues to surge.
