EnerVenue has appointed Rahul Mehta as Chief Revenue Officer, bringing on board a seasoned commercial leader with over 15 years of experience across global power and energy markets.

Based in Singapore, Rahul Mehta will spearhead the company’s global commercial strategy at a critical juncture, as EnerVenue looks to align growing market demand with its expanding manufacturing capacity.
His role will span marketing, business development, sales, project delivery, and long-term customer engagement, with a clear focus on building a robust pipeline to support large-scale deployment of the company’s fourth-generation Aqueous Metal Cell (AMC) technology.
The appointment comes as EnerVenue advances its manufacturing roadmap. The company is currently completing a 250 MWh production line at its high-volume facility in Changzhou, China, with plans to scale to 1 GWh. This expansion is backed by a $300 million extension of its Series B funding round, secured earlier in 2026, aimed at supporting near- and mid-term capacity growth.
Mehta joins EnerVenue from Fluence, where he served as Vice President of Sales for Asia-Pacific. His earlier career includes leadership roles at Hitachi Energy and ABB, where he focused on commercial strategy and delivering complex energy solutions across international markets. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi, and a doctorate from the National University of Singapore.
EnerVenue’s AMC technology is already seeing early deployment. Since November 2025, a system has been operating at a Towngas site near Changzhou, integrating renewable energy with electric bus charging.
The installation leverages AMC’s deep cycling capability, enabling continuous charge-discharge cycles over two-to-four-hour periods to better match demand and reduce energy costs, an example of the kind of applications the company now aims to scale globally under Mehta’s commercial leadership.
Leadership Comment
Commenting on the appointment, CEO Henning Rath said: “Mehta’s experience and industry relationships will be key in bridging the gap between production scale-up and commercial execution. He emphasized that the company is entering a phase where converting strong market interest into deployed projects will be critical.”
Rahul Mehta, Chief Revenue Officer, EnerVenue, said: “The power and energy industry is undergoing a significant transformation, and energy storage is central to enabling it. The market still leans heavily on lithium-ion, but as demand profiles grow more complex and customers ask for greater safety, longer life and more flexibility, lithium-ion increasingly has to be complemented by other chemistries. Having spent my career in this sector as storage has scaled, I believe EnerVenue’s technology is genuinely differentiated in meeting where the market is heading. I am excited to bring it to customers globally and build the commercial platform required to scale its deployment.”
