Keysight Technologies and Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) have formalized a new partnership to boost semiconductor and photonics education in Malaysia, aiming to address the growing talent shortage in the country’s thriving electrical and electronics (E&E) sector. This collaboration involves the adoption of Keysight’s Semiconductor Basic Design and Measurement Lab by USM, providing students with hands-on, industry-standard training in semiconductor technologies and real-world measurement techniques.

Strategic Education and Industry Alignment
The partnership is part of Malaysia’s Consortium E&E initiative, where USM plays a pivotal role in nurturing graduates aligned with industry needs.
Keysight’s lab platform includes advanced tools and workflows designed to bridge academic learning with industry practice, accelerating students’ readiness for engineering careers and supporting the country’s ambition to become a regional semiconductor hub.
