For the installation of three Rohde & Schwarz QPS201 security scanners, KIX has given contrat to TEISEN. These innovative scanners were selected due to their exceptional performance and will be used in new checkpoints.

The R&S QPS201 scanner model benefits both passengers and employees by combining the best detection capabilities with quick and easy processes. They use cutting-edge millimeter-wave technology and artificial intelligence (AI)-based algorithms to minimize false alarm rates and satisfy all legal standards for detecting illegal objects.

The overall passenger experience is improved by this technology, which guarantees that security measures are both efficient and easy to use.

Terminal 1 of Kansai International Airport, a significant international hub in Japan, is undergoing a comprehensive refurbishment. The R&S QPS 201 units from Rohde & Schwarz are among the latest, cutting-edge screening tools being installed in the airport’s security screening section as part of this renovation. It is anticipated that the renovated space will be usable by March 18, 2025.

With its scanners certified by the US Transport Security Administration (TSA), the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC), and numerous other national authorities, Rohde & Schwarz has made a name for itself as a reliable supplier of security solutions since joining the aviation sector in 2015.
