At the 19th IESA Vision Summit 2025-Gujarat Semiconnect, which took place in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, from March 5–7, IG Drones won the coveted IESA Technovation Best StartUp Award in the “Electronics Product Category-Drones” to promote cutting-edge design-led innovations and fortify the nation’s semiconductor ecosystem.
The India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA) bestows the award to honor pioneering advancements in the field of Electronics System Design & Manufacturing (ESDM). The summit took place as the central government completed Semicon 2.0, the second phase of the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM), which aims to boost the nation’s semiconductor ecosystem and promote cutting-edge design-led innovations.
The next phase intends to expand chip design, manufacturing, and packaging capabilities, further solidifying India’s place in the global value chain, after the first phase’s success, which brought in USD 18 billion in investments.
Semicon 2.0 will guarantee that Made in India semiconductor products obtain a competitive edge in international markets, reaffirming India’s commitment to becoming a center for semiconductor manufacturing and innovation. The ?76,000 crore ISM will facilitate incentives for four chip packaging units and one chip fabrication plant. Leading the way in sophisticated design-led innovations and bolstering the nation’s semiconductor ecosystem in the drone industry, IG Drones is at the forefront of Made-In-India drone product development.
IESA Technovation Awards
Founded in 2008, the IESA Technovation Awards are recognized as the most prestigious honors in India’s ESDM sector, honoring people and institutions that have made substantial contributions to the expansion of the industry. The prize was given to IG Drones in appreciation of its innovative drone technology developments, which have transformed applications in a variety of sectors, including disaster relief, infrastructure, agricultural, and defense.

The Indian drone industry is anticipated to develop at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 21% from 2022 to 2030, reaching a size of USD 13 billion.
