Delta reported that Tata Motors (Commercial Vehicle – EV), ThunderPlus Solutions, and Delta Electronics India have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
Up to 250 new electric vehicle (EV) fast charging stations for LCVs (Light Commercial Vehicles) will be installed as part of this strategic partnership’s mission across 50 Indian cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Pune, Kochi, and more.
Key Objectives:
- Infrastructure Development: The partnership intends to install EV Fast charging stations on regularly traveled routes, in high-demand urban areas, and in dealers’ and service networks.
- Data Sharing: To maximize the charging network’s deployment and efficiency, the parties will exchange charger utilization data.
- Customer Experience: Persistent efforts will be made to improve the charging experience with co-branded products and easy payment options.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Tata Motors: Will offer distribution of promotional materials and data on strategic sites, routes, and growth prospects for the charging network.
- Delta Electronics: Will guarantee product reliability and customer satisfaction by providing EV chargers that are compatible with commercial EVs made by Tata Motors.
- ThunderPlus Solutions: Will use an OPEX model to run the charging stations and work together to develop cutting-edge features that cater to customers and payment options.
The collaboration supports the Indian government’s goal of moving toward greener mobility options and is consistent with Delta Electronics’ mission to promote sustainable development through energy-efficient solutions.
The partnership between ThunderPlus Solutions, a leader in EV public charging stations, and Tata Motors, a pioneer in electric commercial vehicles, will guarantee that the infrastructure for charging EVs satisfies the highest requirements for efficiency and dependability.
