VIAVI Solutions has successfully secured a mandatory cybersecurity certification required to do business with the U.S. Department of Defense.
The Aerospace and Defense division of the company achieved Level 2 CMMC Certification. The company achieved Level 2 Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) across several key product lines. The newly certified portfolio includes the company radio test, avionics, synthetic and modular, and Position Navigation and Timing systems.
The defense department developed the CMMC framework specifically to safeguard national security. The protocol ensures that defense contractors maintain strict cybersecurity controls to protect sensitive, unclassified information across their networks. Holding this certification remains a strict prerequisite for any organization looking to supply or partner with the military.
To secure the clearance, VIAVI underwent a rigorous assessment process conducted by A-LIGN. The prominent federal compliance partner currently works with thousands of global organizations to identify and mitigate critical cybersecurity risks.
